Pathein Maung Maung Thein is his full pen name. He is a father of Sunflwer art family and a founder of Sunflower Art Gallery and Art Classes. He is a full time artist and art teacher.

He has experienced in different art careers such as a film poster painter, illustrator, cartoonist. comic artist, fine artist and art teacher. He is a successful art teacher and experts in Child Art. M. M. Thein was an outdoor painter and loves to paints Burmese scenes. His earlier works are realism and later are impressionism.

• 1957-1958 – Diploma in Art Teachership, Teacher Training College, Kanbe.
• 1958-2014 – Art teacher for government schools until 1991. Teaching art to children and adults for creative art and professional artist.
• 1980-1984 – Bagan Studio at Kokai.
• 1994 – Founded the Sunflower Art Gallery and Art Classes
• 2000s – Start to use his own teaching method: Modular Teaching Method for Children

Medium – Watercolor, oil and acrylic. Expertises in poster painting, and comic and cartoon illustrations.

Member of – Lokanat Galleries and Water Colour Art Exhibitions.
