“STUDiO MUDRA” initiated as the art@apt by two Burmese artists, Chaw Ei Thein and Tin Tin, in New York from 2010 to 2016. The duo curated several art shows and artistic talks in their little apartment space for six years. Then in 2017, we moved to Santa Fe and opened the STUDiO MUDRA. We have been participating in SF weekend art sale as member of Santa Fe Society of Artists since 2023. Now we have our shared space in 328 Collective from 2025.
STUDiO MUDRA’s parent gallery is Yangon based Sunflower and Chaw Ei is its co-founder. So we are showcasing Sunflower’s works and products in our platform.
This platform, StudioMudra.com, is an online initiative and we will promoting varieties of Burmese fine and contemporary art. Introduce quality textiles and artisans products too. We still want to maintain our original idea of NY – Tokyo – Yangon establishment and now is SF – Yangon commitment. Maybe we can extend many towns in very near future.
